Generally speaking almost everyone wants to look younger or even if there are some of us that don’t mind looking our age we would like to grow old gracefully. This has led to hundreds of skin care products being developed to help us look younger.

These Skin Care creams help to smooth those lines and make the skin look fresher and youmger. Some of these creams can be quiet effective but it can depend on the type of skin you have and how it reacts to the product. What may work on one person may not be quite effective as on another. A good anti aging cream will generally include peptides, collagen, retinol and antioxidants that help nourish the skin. The research that goes into these creams can be enormous and some people think that the more expensive the cream the better it will be. However  the best idea is to try as many different creams as you can, until you find one that compliments your skin type.

As well as using cream to keep your skin looking young it is also suggested that you drink plenty of water, have a healthy diet including fruit and vegetables and take some exercise. You should also restrict the amount of time your skin is exposed to strong sunlight and reduce you intake of toxins such as caffeine, alcohol and tobacco.

what kind of anti-aging skin care products should i use if im 26 have acne, but starting to see lines?

Ok so here are my questions and I’m sorry if it’s long. As I said I’m 26 years old with fair skin I had really really bad acne when I was a teenager until I got proactive (yes it’s a cliché but it really did save my skin) and I’m still using it today because even though I still have minor acne scars that I would love to get rid of, for the most part it keeps my skin under control….a while back I started seeing lines on my forehead and just recently I noticed a broken blood vessel on my cheek. Even though I’m ok with the proactive my skin looks dull and I would really love to find an inexpensive (something I could pick up at target) product that will help my skin look better as well as help with the lines….the problem is now that I’m getting older I have combination skin so I’m dry around my forehead but oily on my nose I’ve tried a few things (the cost of which have been high and their now sitting in my medicine cabinet) but most of the anti aging stuff doesn’t absorb into my skin and when it does I break out…so I ask again can anyone recommend anything so I don’t have to start picking random products off the shelves and wasting more money.

Olay Skin Care great for acne and fine lines.

Skin Care At Home - 4 Tips To Become Your Own Beautician

There is no need to argue against expert care. Not many can duplicate the services professional skin care practitioners render inside beauty shops. Which is why expert care is costly. But it does not mean these are all beyond what you can do. In fact by knowing what personal skin care is all about, you can be your own beauty expert. What you need is the basic inclination as well as the discipline to follow through and stick to your routine. You also need to know how to select the perfect personal skin care product for you, how they work, and the proper way of using them.

The first thing to do when you embark on a personal skin care regimen is to examine your skin type. You need to know whether your skin is normal, oily, dry or sensitive. And with that you need to choose the skin care product that suits your skin type. You might find it useful to test a number of products before you come to a final decision.

If you have a normal skin type, the following personal Skin Care regimen is suggested:

1. Cleansing. A good personal skin care program always starts with cleansing. Part of this step is the selection of a good cleanser. The three core cleanser ingredients of a cleanser are water, surfactants (also known as wetting agents) and oil. Surfactants and oil extract oil and dirt from the skin and the water flushes it out, thereby cleansing your skin. Again, you may have to try several cleansers first before picking your best choice.

Important considerations in cleansing include the use of non-soap or soap-free cleansers, the use of lukewarm water for cleansers to open up the skin pores, and the right amount of cleansers to apply. Note that overcleansing can damage your skin.

2. Exfoliation. Cleansing is usually followed by exfoliation. The skin has a natural maintenance and replacement process where it sheds dead skin cells off to be replaced by new ones. Dead skin cells tend to block the pores and the underlying skin layers. Aside from attracting bacterial infection, dead skin cells absorb skin care products but prevent the products from creating their desired effects. What exfoliation does then is facilitate the removal of these dead skin cells.

Ideally, exfoliation should be done 4 to 5 times a week for oily and normal skin and 1 to 2 times a week for dry and sensitive skin. The frequency needs to be increased further during hot and humid weather conditions and reduced during cooler times. The key to effective exfoliation is knowing just how often you need it to get the best results.

3. Moisturizing. This process is basic in personal skin care. Everyone should moisturize, including those whose skin is already oily. Moisturizers not only induce the skin cells to remain moist but also attract moisture from the air whenever needed. Be warned, however, that excessive amounts of moisturizers can clog the skin pores and end up harming your skin. Exactly how much moisturizing you need can be made manifest after a week or so of application, after which you can then start making adjustments. Remember further that moisturizers are best applied on damp skin.

4. Sunscreen. Good moisturizers are doubly beneficial because they come with UV protection. Nevertheless, you should always apply sunscreen irrespective of whether it is sunny or cloudy because sunlight contains UV rays, excessive exposure to which can be harmful to the skin.

Having said all of the above, there is not one best personal skin care regimen for all people. What works best will be for you to experiment on and decide. Just remember that for any sort of skin disorder, you need to consult a dermatologist as a basic step.

Natural Organic Skin Care is Good for Your Skin

The push is on for more people to use natural organic skin care products. For too long people have been applying unsafe synthetic products on their skin. However, just because a product claims to be organic, does not always guarantee that it is organic or natural. You need to educate yourself on how to choose a safe product for your skin.

As a consumer it is important to know what is in the natural organic skin care cream you are using. In fact, it is important to know what is in anything you apply to your skin. Many products contain preservatives or fragrances that can be harmful or irritable to your skin.

The best herbal skin care products contain natural substances that help reduce lines and wrinkles on your skin. The best products contain extracts from natural substances that are blended together in a scientific process to produce safe products to use on your skin.

Unless you are making the product yourself, your natural organic skin care cream is not going to be one hundred percent organic. Some processing takes place. In fact, the processing can improve the effectiveness of the ingredients. However, there should not be any preservatives in the product. Some preservatives or parabens can cause cancer.

If used properly, your natural organic skin care cream should not last beyond its best before date. For it to be effective, it should be applied at least once per day. Now, what are the specific natural ingredients you should look for in a good skin cream?

Some oils are good for your skin; some oils such as mineral oils are not good for your skin. An example of good oil used in natural organic Skin Care products is avocado oil. It hydrates the skin quite deeply and it can stimulate the production of the vital skin protein called collagen. Collagen is what gives your skin the texture and elasticity of youthful skin.

Another effective natural substance used in herbal skin care products is Cynergy TK. It is derived from the wool of sheep in New Zealand. It contains keratin, which is another vital protein that helps with the production of collagen and elastin in the skin.
